A little info about RC Wingers
Mooresville, NC
RC Wingers was established in 1987 and has grown from a couple of guys with some planes to many aviation enthusiasts participating in a broad spectrum of the hobby (aircraft, helicopters, multi-rotor, gliders, etc.). We are affiliated with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) founded in 1936, a national organization representing the interests of over 2,500 similar clubs around the country.
Our flying facility is located at 429 Patterson Farm Rd. in Mooresville North Carolina. The facilities include a grass runway, three sun shelters with electrical outlets, large pit area, and plenty of open sky to fly in. Members are most likely to be found on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but a number of the retired members will be out during the weekday mornings to have the field to themselves.
We have a great local hobby shop (HobbyTown USA) here in Mooresville that has a great inventory and knowledgable staff to help with current projects, or how to get started in this great hobby. We hope you can use them for your purchases that will keep a local hobby retailer available.

08/24/2020 - Summer Update
As we move through the rest of the summer and into the fall, it appears our social distancing at the field is working well and folks are managing to get out and fly to maintain some semblance of normalcy.
Please continue to be cautious when out and about.
Reminder for all members that we are continuing to hold our monthly meetings via Zoom. For those that are interested, please look for the invites via email before each meeting. Hope to "see" you there.
Message from the President - 06/30/2020
Summer is upon us and we have had some good stretches of great weather that has allowed us to get out and fly. We are hoping for more of this as the summer progresses.
As a reminder, we are trying to enforce the social distancing policies while at the field, and if you are in close proximity (6ft or less) to another flier, you'll need to wear a mask as per the NC Govenors mandate.
We encourage you to still come out to fly, but please do so responsibly.
